La Mesa Eco Park

It's March and vacation's fast approaching.  Of course, we can't just let the days pass without going anywhere to release all the stress that school (and office) brought.

Yesterday (11th March) was such a very boring day so me and two of my friends decided to go somewhere that would make us forget about the Metro even for a day.  Having a very tight budget, we're thinking about the Manila Ocean Park and La Mesa Eco Park and the latter got out side since it doesn't require more than a hundred bucks of entrance fee (tipid mode lang).

So from Edsa, we rode a bus which has a TUNGKO sign board.  We actually paid PhP 35.00 for the fair from Robinsons Galeria to Commonwealth Ave. Camaro St. (Always look on the right side and have the Eastwest Bank as your landmark if you want to go there).  We rode a tricycle going to Eco Park and paid PhP 30.00.

We paid fifty pesos (Php 50.00) each for the entrance fee.

The place is so nice.  It is surrounded by trees and has a variety of flowers.  And since rain poured prior to us reaching this place, it feels and smells like you're in a province.  'Amoy probinsya' some say.  On the right side few steps away from the cashier where you need to pay the entrance fee is the Butterfly Garden.  But since we don't have enough money that time, we just skipped this area (you need to pay PhP 80.00 to enter Butterfly Garden).  But it's a nice place though - I believe.  Next is the swimming pool that you may want to try.  Hey, it's summer time!

Taking advantage of what the place has, we served ourselves a challenge - different flowers' macro shots.

Using my phone, I tried my all to get the best shot.

Fair enough..

Is this a grass?

We entered this Drilon Orchidarium but unfortunately, no orchids bloomed yet.  But hey, I saw a fern (so what's with it) and it reminds me of my highschool biology lesson (Natuwa lang.. Naaalala ko pa pala 'yung lesson namin nuon.  Pati yung mga tawag duon.)

After the Drilon Orchidarium, we went to 'Petron Fitness and Nature Trail' - my favorite part.

We crossed this little muddy trail and feeling mo umaakyat ka na ng bundok.  Hehehe..  I'm a frustrated mountaineer, eh.

We then walk and had some photo ops to see the beauty of the whole area.  There are lot's of activities that you and your friends can enjoy.  You may want to try bungee jumping, fishing, wall climbing, zip line, and a lot.

Tribal art store where you can have a henna tats and buy some tribal artworks.

I'll visit this place again if I got time since I enjoyed seeing the beauty of Nature. :)
