SAMSUNG ES95
(REVIEW)
Are you looking for a handy camera with a very good resolution for a cheap price? Well, you've come to a right place.
We introduce you the new Samsung ES 95 that comes with 16.2 MP camera with bright F2.5 lens that can still give you good image even in low lighting plus the 720p (30 fps) HD video receording.
With the introductory price of PhP4,500 (four thousand five hundred pesos), Samsung opened a gate for us to get a good-quality image specially for us who have a tight budget. Okay, so what can we expect with this camera?
Well what I just mentioned earlier, it has a 16 Megapixels camera the same as what some of the DSLR's in the market have though its 25mm wide angle lens has 5x Zoom only. On the other hand, it still provided us a good image even on zoom as the 2.7 inches (67.5 mm) LCD display helps us to review the picture before and after we capture the image.
It is nice that this camera model has variety of white balance mode such as Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Flourescent, Tungsten and Custom suitable for different lighting conditions.

JB Conversation for ICS Xperia Mini
credits to Till-Kruspe of xda for the screenshot |
Well if you guys want to experience the Jelly Bean Conversation look for your xperia mini but you can't let go of the stock rom installed on your phone, we've got a solution for you.
I've tried to search for an .apk file for this "jb conversation" but I actually failed to find one. But thanks to xda's saqib nazm and erorcun for giving us this ported JB Conversation. Yeah, yeah, the dual panel UI is all in our hands! Weeeeehhhh! - "DUAL PANEL UI"
Yes, you read it right. We'll get the dual panel look on our messaging given that our phone (xperia Mini) has a small screen.
Make sure that your phone's rooted and you have the CWM installed.

How to See the SD Card Contents on Xperia Mini
For newly bought or flashed Xperia Mini, you can't get to check the SD card contents from your phone. It's like you're outside your own locked car and you can't get in bacause you left the key inside.. You still need to plug your phone to your PC just so you can check your files. Yes, there's the Officesuit but it's not updated so still won't help.
Well, we suggest to open your Play Store and sign in to your account (if you already have google account) or sign up to create one.

Fix for Flickering LCD of Xperia Mini (auto brightness)
If you guys are experiencing this flickering LCD on your Mini or when you go to an area which has a bright light, the screen of your Xperia Mini will be brighter, too and gets dim if you are in a dark area, well, you've come into the right place.
We.. the dilemma that you are experiencing is called auto brightness - a built-in feature which has a major impact on viewability, readability and even on the display or image quality. It helps us to prevent from eye strain and headaches caused by too bright or too dim level of lighting.
If you want this feature off from your phone, well, you can find the answers from the Google Play Store. Yup, the answer's in your smartphone already.

Jelly Bean look for Gingerbread Xperia Mini ST15i
This is related to my previous post, XPERIA MINI - what's your ROM?.
Well this is to tell you guys that I'm back to the old lovely Gingerbread v2.3.4, Baseband version -56 and Build number 4.0.2.A.0.42.
Prior to this is I used the Zelly Cream Rom from gagan (thanks gagan of xda for the wonderful zelly cream rom) after the SMART XPERIA JB/ICS rom.
Smart Xperia's JB/ICS's a little bit laggy that made me switch to the Zelly Cream Rom. The latter's almost perfect and provided all my needs but we cannot accept the fact that ICS-based roms, whether it's the original or custom roms eats a lot of battery juice and drains my battery so fast.
