It's been a month when we (me and two of my friends) last climbed a mountain - Mt. Humarap at Paete, Laguna, so we decided to do a Level 2 climb at Mt. Mabilog. May 26th is the perfect date since it favored our sched and it was the day after our pay day ($$$). However, it seems that the wheather don't want us to be there. It rained hard the day before our hike. But no rains or whatsoever can stop us. We still go even we know that the trail would be very muddy.
Around 10:00 AM of May 26th, we reached the trail going to Lake Pandit. We simply followed the galvanized wall that led us to the said lake. The place was so amazing that made me forget all the tireness of the long trip - all the way from Cubao to San Pablo.

We stayed there for almost ten minutes and proceded with the climb. It was just the START of the trek when we saw three trails which we don't know where they are heading to. Little bit afraid to get separated, we thought of getting a guide but the other side of ourselves said no and trust our instincts. We've been to that scene for almost 5 minutes and so to save time, we decided to do a toss coin - HEAD for YES (go and grab a tour guide) and TAIL for NO and head showed twice. So we did not ask for any guide and continued with the trek. We tried the first trail and found out that the three end up on the same spot.

We reached the said lake at 2:00 in the afternoon then it started to drizzle. We then decided to continue with the trek to Mt. Mabilog though we know that the rain will pour anytime. We went down and crossed a river and went up going to the mountain. But nature has it's own way to stop us going up - we got lost and don't know where to go. We then decided to went down and surrendered.
We failed this climb to Mt. Mabilog but we visit the two of the seven lakes of San Pablo Laguna.
